This minesweeper was the last British war ship to be sunk during WW II, after being badly damaged by a kamikaze attack on July 24th. She was therefore abandoned and subsequently scuttled by other navy vessels. The wreck is yet to be fully explored as it is broken into numerous pieces scattered around the area in the sand. Due to the easy orientation and generally favourable conditions, this site is suitable for Trimix beginners as well as for experienced divers. As several lives were lost during the sinking of this, the sister-ship of HMS Squirrel, actual penetration and artefact collecting are strictly prohibited.
